  • Condition: PLEASE SEE ITEM DESCRIPTION FOR MORE DETAILS. 1st Edition, 1894, Very Large Illustrated Folio (approx 11.75 x 2.75 x 15.75), lii, 779pp, with 192 plates (6 fold-outs), 404 in-text illustrations, and 108 illustrated Tables and Charts. Top edge gilt with marble end-papers. 3/4 Leather Binding over Navy-Blue Cloth boards, professionally restored by a certified antiquarian book restoration specialist. Spine is rebacked in new leather, preserving the original spine leather over the restored binding (see Image 1 using the magnifier tool). Some missing chips from the original spine. Leather corners have also been replaed (see Images 2 and 12). Original Cloth shows some soiling and dust (see Images 2 and 12). Very small name stamp from the original owner on the front fly-leaf.
